Christ Must Return in 2000 Years

“The Bible says that Christ must return after 2000 years”. This teaching was repeatedly expressed by Bob Marley in several interviews, and it is often criticized by the enemies of Rastafari faith as a false statement, as they cannot find it written anywhere in the Holy Scripture. As always happens, the mind of this people is without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, without knowledge of the Ethiopian tradition and without Apostolic intelligence of interpretation, and they cannot see and respect the wisdom of a true Prophet, that indeed, with high consciousness, spoke the biblical truth that is hidden in the pages of the Scripture, and that only Rasta must reveal to the people in this time.

As we learn from the Ethiopian traditional Book of “Gedle Adam” (The Combat of Adam), Christ had to born 5500 years after the creation of Adam:

” ‘The Word will again save thee when the five years and a half are fulfilled’. (…) Then God in His Mercy for Adam, made in His own image and likeness, explained to him that these were 5000 and 500 years, and how One would then come and save him and his seed”.

(Gedle Adam Book I, Chapter III)

1000 years were thus interpreted as one day in the language of God, as it was written by the Apostle Peter:

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (2 Peter 3,8)

Therefore the history of creation is compared to the week of creation, and 7 days corresponds to 7 millenniums. The 1st millennium is the Sunday, as 1st day of Creation. The 6th millennium (5000-6000 considering the Creation of Adam, 500 B.C. – 500 A.D. considering the Birth of Christ), in which Christ was born, was the 6th day of Creation, i.e. Friday, the day in which Adam was created, and also the day in which he ate the forbidden fruit and died: therefore in that day Christ had to suffer and die for the sake of Adam to expiate his sin, and in that 6th millennium Incarnation had to happen, when God dressed the flesh of Adam.

Now we know that Christ died on Friday, slept the sleep of death on the day of Sabbath within the Sepulchre, and rose again on Sunday. The Sabbath of His death corresponds to the 7th millennium (500 A.D. – 1500 A.D.) a period of time that is historically named “Middle Age”, characterized by ascetic attitude and social closure, that had to be a time of transition. The Sunday of Resurrection corresponds to the 8th millennium (1500 A.D. – 2500 A.D) that is what is historically named “Modern Era”, and that starts, for the academics, with the colonial journey of Colombo in 1492 A.D..

This 8th Millennium, New Sunday of the Resurrection, must be the ultimate millennium of history, as it was in the beginning (Sunday) so shall it be in the end (Sunday). In this final millennium Christ must return in His Second Coming, in Risen State, as He returned from death in that same day, after the Friday of His sacrifice, then 2 days after, that also means 2000 years after His First Coming.

That’s why the Holy Liturgy of the Ethiopian Church (Qeddasie) says in the Anaphora of St. Athanasius, 61, about the Sunday:

“Oh, this day is the ultimate that lasts for ever”

And in the footnote of this verse, in the official english translation published by the Ethiopian Church in 1959, written by Rev. Marcos Daoud, we read:

“The tradition is that Christ’s second advent will be on Sunday”.

Also David, in the Psalm 11, whose title is “Concerning the 8th Epoch”, states in reference to the 8th day:

‘I will rise now’ said Egziabhier ::

That’s why His Majesty was crowned on Sunday, and manifested His royal ministry in the 8th millennium of Sunday, exactly 400 hundred years after the colonial journey of Colombo, because in this time both Christ and the Anti-Christ must operate upon the earth.

The Eagle the Fourth Beast

“Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. (…) And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.” (Daniel 7:23-28)

“And after this, the night after I saw in dream an eagle that was going up from the sea (…) ‘The eagle that you saw going up from the sea is the fourth kingdom that appeared in dream to Daniel your brother (…) Days come when will be on the earth a kingdom that is more terrible than all those that came before it. (…) The lion that you have seen waking up in the forest, roaring and speaking to the eagle, blaming it for its injustice, is the Messiah, that the Most High has kept for the last days, that came out from the seed of David.” (Apocalypse of Esdras, 11:1 / 12:10-13 / 12:31-32)

“Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed (…) And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.” (Luke 17:30-37)

He Inherited the Throne of David His Father

“And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.”
Luke 1, 31-33
“Since it is the long-standing custom that when a King, the Shepherd of his people, shall die, a King replaces him, I being upon the seat of David to which I was betrothed, will, by God’s charity, watch over you. Trader, trade ! Farmer, plough ! I shall govern you by the law and ordinance that has come to me, handed down from my fathers”.
Qedamawi Haile Selassie, after the death of Empress Zawditu, April 1930

Child Prodigy

“Yet Lij Tafari, the way those who remember him then tell it, ‘knew’ at the age of seven that he would one day be king, and began to study for the job. He badgered his tutor for all the books of Ethiopian history that he could find and listened avidly to tales of the Solomonic dynasty of which he was an offshoot; he believed implicitly in the legend of Solomon and Sheba. At the age of five he had been a shy little shrimp of a fellow, clinging to the robes of the women in the kitchen; but with learning and knowledge came a composure that astonished the household and his friends.
Pictures of him at this period show a face that is touchingly good-looking, but the chin is held high and the eyes are aloof and the quiet confidence is evident. There is a regal look about him already.
By the time he was eleven years old he had learned enough French to converse in it with his young tutor, Aba Samuel, who had been recommended to his father by the monks of the French Mission in Harar. Ras Makonnen came back from a journey to England to find him so fluent that he mentioned his son’s accomplishment to the Emperor, and was told to bring him to Court. He made the journey in 1903. It was the first time the boy had been on a long journey away from home – though he had shot his first lion in Ogaden and helped to capture his own pony on Mount Kondudo (…)
Tafari’s appearance at Court a month later is still remembered. He was not much taller than a mannikin. He wore a rakish velvet hat, an embroidered cloak of black and gold silk pinned at the neck, white breeches and a ruffed shirt beneath. He recited a story from La Fontaine, and the Emperor, who did not understand a word, shouted: ‘He has learned it off by heart !’. But when Tafari proceeded to exchange polite words with M. Ilg, Menelik was convinced and the whole court applauded.”

“Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. (…) And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.” (Luke 2, 41-47)

The Birth of His Majesty – Raining King

So Waizero Yeshimabeit was cosseted at Ejarsa Gora until her time came, and that was not until the first heavy rains had broken over the valleys. As the midwife dragged him clear, Tafari’s first yelps were drowned by a spectacular cannonading of thunder and a torrential downpour; a good enough omen, in a land where rain is always welcome, for the women to raise their voices in praise as the babe’s lips were moistened with ritual butter, for all the rifles in the village to let go a ragged fusillade, for the cattle to be killed and tej and talla to be made ready, and for the feasting to begin.”

The Birth of His Majesty from Yeshimabet Ali

It was among these people, at Ejarsa Gora – and not, as most record books have it, at Harar – that Lij Tafari Makonnen, later to become Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, was born on July 23 1892.
In May each year, the boy’s father, Ras Makonnen, Governor of Harar, took his family and retainers to Ejarsa Gora to escape the stuffiness, the typhoid and other disease which stalked the streets of the walled city of Harar at this time of the year. Here on a green hillside that looked down on the fertile valleys, he had built a large mud-and-wattle house with a refinement that was unusual in Ethiopia at the time (…). In 1892 he came early because his wife, Waizero Yashimabeit, was with child and he hoped that the fresh breezes and clear air woud help her pregnancy to go well. She was the wrong mould for shaping children, and eight of her offspring were stillborn or had died from the diseases lurking in Harar for susceptible infants. So this time she and her baby must be given every chance.
For Ras Makonnen wanted a son (…) So Waizero Yeshimabeit was cosseted at Ejarsa Gora until her time came (…) Ras Makonnen had the son he craved, and there was raw meat, heady drink and two nights of singing, boasting and wenching to celebrate it. (…)
Less than two years later, Waizero Yeshimabet was pregnant again, and this time she died in child-birth.
(Taken from “Haile Selassie. The Conquering Lion”, L.Mosley, 1964)
**********************************
“A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.” (Revelation 12, 1-6)
“Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.” (Isaiah 54,1)
“Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring”. (Revelation 12, 17)

The Biblical Handsign of His Majesty

HIS HANDS SIGN IS NOT MASONIC, IT IS BIBLICAL.
With His hands He traces the 6 points of the Star of David, that was given to David by Rut: she was of Ethiopian origin and daughter of Melchizedek. The Symbol represents the Star prophecied by Melchizedek, a prophecy that his son Balaam has repeated:
“I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.” (Numbers 24, 17)
It is made of 2 triangles interlaced, one upward ▲ symbolizing the male polarity, male genitals, the bonfire, heaven, and one downward ▼ symbolizing the female polarity, female genitals, the cup of water, and earth.
The Star represents the redemptional promise of Christ that must manifest in 2 comings, one for heaven and one for earth, one for priesthood and one for kingdom, as it is written:
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1,8)
As you can see, the earthly triangle is highlighted by the hands of His Majesty ▼, that doing so continuously declares to be the theological Omega in Flesh, a token for you to recognize His messianic status.
Moreover, this precisely realizes the prophecy of David, kept by Psalm 151, that was removed from the western bibles, but actually it was the first Psalm written by David, when he went to fight against Goliath:
እደውየ ፡ ይገብራ ፡ መሰንቆ ፤
ወአጻብዕየ ፡ ያስተዋድዳ ፡ መዝሙረ ።
My hands make a masenqo
And my fingers prepare a mezmur (begena) ::
The hands and fingers of His Majesty reproduce the physiognomy of the musical instrument of David, the original harp with 10 strings kept only by the Ethiopian tradition (Begenà), just to make us understand better, as He Himself has declared, that even in the 20th century David still beats Goliath, as millennial fulfillment of the ancient allegory, with the Earthly Kingdom of Christ.

His Majesty’s Decorations

“And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.
And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.”
(Isaiah 22, 22-24)

Ethiopia the Last Citadel of Collective Security – 1936

“Do the peoples of the world not yet realize that by fighting on until the bitter end I am not only performing my sacred duty to my people but standing guard in the last citadel of collective security ? Are they too blind to see that I have responsibilities to the whole of humanity to face ? I must still hold on until my tardy allies appear. And if they never come, then I say prophetically and without bitterness the west will perish.” #QHS
