Why Learn Ge’ez (Ancient Ethiopic Language) ?

WHY LEARN GE’EZ (Ancient Ethiopic) ?

– Because it is the oldest human language, as old as homo sapiens who comes from Ethiopia. It therefore preserves the words and experiences of our ancestral fathers and allows us to reconnect to the deepest roots of human history.

– Because it is not a human and conventional language, but a divine and natural one, with which God created all things in the beginning and which he taught to Adam. The words of Ge’ez are onomatopoeic and pictographic evocations of real things, and through them we can acquire wonderful logical and natural knowledge.

– Because the Ge’ez Bible is the oldest and most complete text available to us, and by studying that it is possible to remove all the veils of mystification and manipulation that have been placed over it by Romanized Judaism and Christianity.

– Because it is built according to a gematric and kabbalistic system that is much more orderly and coherent than the commonly known Jewish one: it is the code that allows us to interpret and decipher created reality, and the “genome” of God that enables us to know its Mind and Essence.

– Because it is in itself a humanly inexplicable prophetic miracle, which gives solidity and strength to the student’s faith and nourishes his spiritual life with conviction.

– Because it is the original language of God, and the privileged communication channel to invoke Him and adore Him, and also to interact with the forces of nature that were created according to its arcana.

BABILON ባቢሎን

The name “Babylon”, we biblically use to identify the kingdom of the wicked enemy (as even His Majesty did in His speech at the World Congress on Evangelism, Berlin 1966), originated with the imperialism of the Ethiopian giant Nimrod (“Nubièrd” in Ethiopic, like Nubia), that after the deluge of water gained power over the earth, and built an enormous tower in the land of Sennar. At that time:

“The whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.”
(Genesis 11, 1)

The only existing language was that of Adam, which God Himself had taught speaking with him. That language was Ethiopian like Adam the first man and like the same Image of God. And even like the ruler of that time, Nimrod.

It was the language Jah had used to create everything. It was a powerful logic and scientific tool, and exploiting that power, men started to build a “skyscraper”, as phisiognomy of any human imperialism and its wicked desire to invade the heavens of God. This tale biblically attests the existence of an advanced technological civilization at the most ancient times of human history, what you find in the Greek myth of “Atlantis”, and we know that Atlas was considered an Ethiopian by the Greek. It also shows that we can develop the most advanced technology from that original language.

Babièl ባቤል, as it is originally named in the Book of the Jubilees, or Babilòn ባቢሎን, as it was named after, with the development of the Babilonian empire from that very heritage, is a name of curse given by Jah, that destroyed the tower and confused the language of men, creating all the tongues we manage today in the world, latin english included. In that way He deprived those people of their power, which resided in their pure language.

“Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.” (Genesis 11, 9)

Under this spell of confusion, in english we now call the Word of God “Bible”, evoking the same root of “Babel”, as far as we deal with corrupted biblical translations of pagan tongues, and the roman falsification of the apostolic faith. Linguistic corruption has produced remarkable damages against the clearness of thinking and understanding, especially about spiritual matters. Using the alphabeths and way of talking of oppressive civilizations without God, like the Latin Romans killers of Christ, we are bound to be corrupted in our mindset by their linguistic system of sin.

But the messianic promise of Christ is to restore that original condition of perfection we enjoyed in the Ethiopian Paradise, including the linguistic grace of the original Word:

“For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent. From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.” (Zepheniah 3, 9-10).

Through the Ethiopian language the King Haile Selassie I is bringing to us, we can now clean up our logic system and gain clear knowledge of the Scriptures, that have been originally thought and written through that System and Covenant that only Ethiopia keeps. You can see that even the so called “Jews” cannot explain many biblical things at a linguistic level, and their culture has evidently altered or lost much of its original heritage. In fact, only through Ethiopic we can fully understand the meaning of this name BABILON, according to the guidelines of the Scripture.

Firstly, Babièl/Babilòn is naturally linked to the ethiopian verb Behale/Bale ብሀለ/ባለ, “to say”, as we have “Bel” በል in imperative form (“Say!”), or Yb(e)l ይብል (“He says”), or Yb(e)lo ይብሎ (“He says to him”). This is also the linguistic root of the onomatopeic “bla bla” we commonly use to describe talking.

Therefore, in the word “Babiel” the verb “to say” is altered by an initial repetition of mistake, like a “BABBLE” of corruption. This word “babble” is a memory of that experience, like the same latin sign “B”, that is graphically produced by the doubling of the ethiopian Be በ. This double sign also recalls the final part of the ethiopian verb “Nebbebe” ነበበ , “to reason”, or “Tt(e)bbeb” ጥበብ “wisdom”, like a confusion between thinking and speaking.

We can decompose the logic factors of the word, and analyze it better: Two “Biet” በ (Babi-) mean “house/building/elaboration” ; “Lamied” ለ (-lo-) means “high” ; “Non” ነ (-n) means “judgment”. It is the high house without foundation built on the sands, the Lord Iyesus Krestos told about, that fell down when the rain came.

The overall gematric value of the word is 84, i.e. it is related to Fie (ፈ) as a concept of flight and going out: “Felsete Babilòn” is the Exile of Babylon.

We can also use the shape of the letters (ባቢሎን) to create an ideogram of the concept, and the attached picture is our interpretation of this mystery (Ra-Eye Artwork). Few years after the publishing of this work inside our printed magazine “Mist”, we have seen a similar scene in the Vatican, on the day of Ratzinger’s resignation, that we post in the comments, as it can deepen the meditation.

The Main Ethiopian Title for God – Egziabhier እግዚአብሔር.

Generally, throughout the Ge’ez Bible God is called with His main title of authority: EGZIABHIER እግዚአብሔር.
“Egziabhier” is composed of 7 Letters and 3 Words.
The 7 letters are the 7 spirits of God, as it is written in Revelation (4,5): “And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.” They are also the seven days of the Creation above which He is Lord.
The 3 Words are the 3 persons of the Trinity:
Egzie እግዚእ —- Lord —- The Son
Ab አብ —- Father —- The Father
Bhier ብሔር —- Province —- The Holy Spirit
Therefore, we have a special extension of the title of “Lord” (Egzie) into “Lord Father of The Province”, i.e. the Supreme Authority over Creation.

Ethiopian Wise Kidane Welde Keflie Ge’ez-Amharic Dictionary – 1955

From a very important Ge’ez-Amharic dictionary, printed under the imperial government in Ethiopia, in 1955, and written by Aleqa Kidane Weld Keflie. At the beginning of the book we find the picture of the King with a short Ge’ez composition:
ቀዳማዊ፡ሐፄ፡ኀይለ፡ሥላሴ፡
ንጉሠ፡ነገሥት፡ዘኢትዮጵያ፡
ኢይፈቅድ፡ይንግርዎ፡
ግእዞ፡ለሰብእ፡ግእዝ፡
እስመ፡ለሊሁ፡የአምሮ።
Qedamawi Hadziè Hayle Selassie
N(e)guse Negest ZeItyoppya
Iyfeq(e)d Yn(e)g(e)rwo
G(e)(e)zo LeSeb(e) G(e)(e)z
(E)sme Lelihu Yeamro ::
His Majesty Qedamawi Hayle Selassie
King of Kings of Ethiopia
Doesn’t want that one would tell Him
the Coscience of Men Ge’ez
For He Himself knows it ::
It is a literal adaptation from the Ge’ez Bible, from the Gospel of John 2:25 speaking about Christ:
ኢይፈቅድ፡ይንግርዎ፡ግዕዞ፡ለሰብእ፡እስመ፡ለሊሁ፡ያአምሮ፡ለሰብእ።
Iyfeqd Yngrwo G(e)(e)’zo LeSeb(e) (E)sme Lelihu Yaamro LeSeb(e) ::
which King James Version translates in this way:
“And He needed not that any should testify of man: for He knew what was in man.”
He knows the conscience of man (that is another meaning of Ge’ez, like the word used for the language) and no one shall educate HIM in this respect. By this statement, the ethiopian scholar is attributing to His Majesty the same supreme wisdom of Christ.

The First Element Created – Fire እሳት

Ethiopian Tradition, especially in certain ge’ez books like Sene Fetret and Aximaros, explain us that in the beginning, Egziabhier created before any other thing the 4 elements, by which He would constitute the substance of all His creatures. The are likened to the 4 directions and the first four letters of Ge’ez Alphabet, composing the word “A-BU-GI-DA”. The A-B-C-D we could say, the basic compass of Creation.
Hold on the Torch of Wisdom, His Majesty speaks about. The first creational element, for God as for man, is Fire, what we call in Holy Language (E)ssat እሳት. To create and produce anything, we firstly need a Fire to warm and protect, to cook food as to alterate, mould and manipulate matter. Similarly, the fire of the Sun is the primary energetic source of our life, and that’s why it was worshiped in ancient paganism. In Nyabinghi ritual, we call the central holy fire Fyah-Key, to express that same mystery.
The primacy of fire is manifested by the first letter of its word, that is an Alief እ (E), the first letter of Abughida Alphabeth, whose meaning is 1, and representing the I of God, and the same human image that was shaped in His Likeness. Jah revealed Himself in flames of fire into the eyes of Moses (Exodus 3) and within the fire we can sight the image of God and man. The fire represents the predominant power of the Coscience of God that thought and created all things. That’s why humans are called B(e)(e)si/B(e)(e)sit ብእሲ/ብእሲት Man/Woman from the same root of (E)ssat እሳት, for among the earthly creatures, humans are the only one to have a conscious spirit made of fire, in the image of God.
The second letter of the word is Son ሳ “Sa”, depicted like a candle, meaning physical sound of exalation of fire, its gas-like untangible nature, the burning incense of the temple to glorify God.
The third and last letter of the word is Taw ት “T”, depicted like a cross, meaning the burned wooden substance and its passivity, and spelling the natural crackle of fire.
The ge’ez number for 1 ፩ is basically a flame of fire, geometrically conceived as the idea of center.
The abode of God, the seventh heaven, the so-called Aryam, is made of Fire. Together with “Wind”, it is the main element of the heavenly things, including angels and human spirits. That’s why both Fire and Wind naturally go upward.
Fire is untangible like wind, but differently from wind, it is also visible. So, being untangible but visible, it also reveals its unique power of mediation between the worlds as between the elements. Similarly, it produces carbonized black substance while generating light.
Fire is generally associated to color red/black, that is also the first color, the beginning of the natural spectrum of light.
As it was in the beginning, so shall it be in the end, so everything comes to being from fire, and everything shall be destroyed in the end by a judgement of fire.

ጥምቀት – Baptism

This artistic work of Selam Semrete Selassie meditates the shape and meanings of the 4 letters of the word Timqet ጥምቀት Baptism, through which we can pictographically visualize its traditional iconography.
Tiet ጥ represents the change and fracture determined by the sacrament of rebirth: it is here associated to the suddenly apparition of the Father from heaven.
Miem ም represents the substance coming over the body, that is both the Holy Spirit (Menfes) and the Water (May); here is the dove descending upon the head of Christ.
Qof ቀ represents the hit of that holy substance upon the head of the baptized one, and his unction.
Taw ት is associated with Krstos and the body of the baptized one that receives the sacrament.

Meaning of “Ge’ez” ግእዝ

Ge’ez ግእዝ (or ግዕዝ) G(e)(e)z means 4 things:

1) First. In fact, the first vowel is called “Ge’ez“, like a first language, i.e. the language that God used to create the world and to speak with Adam in the beginning. It is the Language of Time (“Gizie”), the most ancient one, eternally existing through the ages.

Ge’ez” order is also consider the natural and simple state of a letter. It means that Ge’ez is the original natural Pure Language, coming from the mouth of the Creator, that created us through these same names, without any human superstructure.

Ge’ez is also the first style of traditional chant, together with “Ezil” and “Araray“, and represents the Father.

2) Free. For it is the tongue of the always free Ethiopian people (“Agezan”), and it is free from Babilon pollution, confusion and curse. Tongue of the Lord (“Egzie”) in full sovereignty and power over Creation.

We say that Christ liberated Adam: “Ageezo le Adam“, as He also taught him to speak in the beginning, and loose his tongue and mind.

3) Conscience or Spiritual Essence. For we have been created through this language, 22 basic chromosoms like 22 basic letters, our DNA is written in this code, and our soul naturally speaks Ge’ez (Voice of Coscience), and recognizes it as the pure creational language of its core.

4) Ethiopia herself, as it is traditionally called in the Holy Books “Bhiere Ge’ez“, the Province of Ge’ez.
